Domain

Scrutinizer is an enterprise/business class NetFlow and sFlow analysis tool. Scrutinizer provides historical trends of the company's critical network interfaces as well as the details on:

Who: The end system causing the traffic
What: The application/protocol that is being used
When: The time frame it has been occurring for
Where: The network connection that is affected

Hi,

what does Scrutinizer mean for "Domain" in the Manage Exporters menu ?

Hi gavandre,

That is just going to be the domain of each exporter. For instance, we have 5 remote employees that all have different ISPs. Dale uses Road Runner therefore the domain of the router exporting his NetFlow is rr.com.

You mean an Internet Domain.

What if I assign a name of a geographical area ?

Yes, internet domain, but you could put any text in there if you wanted to (no special characers at this time).

The only places you'd see this change would be in a Source/Destination Domains report or the Top Domains Flow Analytics gadget.
