GUI Idea/Request

Postby filobeddo » Tue Oct 18, 2011 11:12 am

While using the GUI and specifically navigating the time-line it occurred to me it would be a handy feature if you could do a report on a recurring time-interval.

For example,

I create a filtered query for hostA to hostB on port whatever ..
I set the timeline for the last week.

Now it would be great if I could have the timeline say show me the last week, but where the time was between hh:mm and hh:mm (i.e. 12:00-1300)

Just a suggestion ....

Hi filobeddo,

Is this similar to a 'Business Hours' report?

Thanks,
Ben

Yes, that's the principle however I was thinking of being able to establish the time frame of interest while creating the report rather than a setting somewhere for a business hour range.

It would mainly be nice to create a report showing data A<>B at a given time over a longer period without the 'white' bits in between where A<>B turned in for the night.

Thanks.

Hi Filobeddo,

This is a great feature. I will check to see whether this has already been requested; if not, I will open a feature request.
