LOGALOT migrition

Hello!

I want to migrate our (logalot) syslog server to another windows server.

How could I do it, we have many policies and notifications, and I do not want all settings will be removed.

All of the Logalot settings and history are stored in a MySQL database. It's very easy to migrate everything over.

You'll need to install Logalot on the new server, and copy over some databases, then switch the IP addresses of your new and old servers so the syslogs are now sent to the new server.

Before I write up the list of steps you'll need to accomplish, I need to know what version of Logalot you currently have installed.

Can you run logalot.exe -v from a command prompt? You'll need to navigate to INSTALL_DIR\cgi-bin\.

Now We use Logalot version 5.05#12/02/2008 (Logalot Web Interface#5.05#12/02/2008), tell me, is it latest version of Logalot?

The latest release of Logalot is v8.0, part of Plixer Tools 8.0.

I downloaded logalot (Denika 8.0 & Logalot 8.0 - PlixerTools-windows-installer) from the site http://www.plixer.com/, but when I check the version logalot ("Can you run logalot.exe-v from a command prompt? You'll need to navigate to INSTALL_DIR \ cgi-bin \. ") I see version 5.5 # 12.02.2008

c: \ LOGALOT> cd cgi-bin
c: \ LOGALOT \ cgi-bin> logalot-v
Logalot Web Interface # 5.05 # 12/02/2008
c: \ LOGALOT \ cgi-bin>

Tell me where I can download the latest (Logalot v 8.0) version?

Hello,

I do apologize for that. If you downloaded those files from our ftp site, then you do indeed have the latest release. Unfortunately, the version in the compiled executable was not updated to reflect that.

I will bring that to the attention of the developer so that the next build will include the current version number.
