PollFile Config Error

Postby illbill » Thu Oct 13, 2011 8:52 am

Hello,

I keep receiving a CFG error in "maxbytes[xxx]" that i go in and fix within the config file, however after running for 20-30 minutes the error comes back. Seems like the number that i put in keeps getting reset back to 0. I am trying to monitor battery replacement status on a ups, the oid string returns 1 for good or 2 for bad. Any thoughts?

Hello illbill,

I am curious to know if the error is coming from the template and not the config file. Basically if they do not match the template will change the config file to match it. This happens every time the poller runs. You can look for the template by searching for the report ID. To do this go to the admin tools under Denika and click filter all reports on the top of the page. Enter the report ID in the field and click search. One the results come up click edit and then edit again.

Can you also give us more information? I am also curious to see if any errors were generated for this event. Can you send me the last few entries in the latest apache error log? It is located on the Denika server: plixertools/apache/logs/

Thanks,
Ben

Looks like that was the culprit. When i checked the template it was defaulted to 9999999. I changed that back to 2 and saved the template and it's been working since.

Thanks
