Possibility of losing the historic to migrate.

Hi, I need your help, we have a server with Scrutinizer is already about to use the maximum hard drive, we actually have incidents every 3 weeks which completely stops the saturation plot and we have to refine what we can and recover databases because it is corrupt.

The idea was to move to a bigger hard drive to have the complete history, but also migrate to the new version of the application. The problem with this migration is that we lose all the diagrams that currently exist and that we use to verify information.

The version we have of Scrutinizer is 6.0.5 support and I want us to tell us how to avoid losing the history.

Hi opercsc,

We have a tool that will give you an approximate amount of hard drive space you will need according to your history settings.

You can reduce your historical settings. At midnight, Scrutinizer will run it's nightly cleanups and remove all of them data that is expired according to your new settings.

As for migration. We have a document for moving from v6.05 to 8.6.2.

You will keep your historical data with the migration.

Does this help?

Thanks,
Ben
