Regarding Logalot eventlog monitoring denied

Postby herman79 » Sun Apr 16, 2006 9:34 pm

Currently I install Logalot latest version on Window2000 server. After I summit the server that I scanned in domain, and I try to generate report. It shows zero result, so I go to troubleshoot it, and it shows server denied monitoring. I’m not sure what is the cause of it, so I need a little assistance here. I’m testing on evaluation version, will purchase it when it works.

Administrator rights needed

You need to run eventlogd as a user with administrator rights on the machines you wish to collect logs from. To test this you can log onto the Logalot server as an administrator and run eventlogd from the \soe\cgi-bin\ directory (be sure to stop the Logalot eventlog daemon service first).

Are you able to add the server in Logalot>Admin Tools>Eventlog setup OK?

Feel free to call 207-324-8805 for free pre-sales support.
