Saving a report in pdf format is possible in Outlook. We hope to add back the ability to email in pdf format in a future release as well as the ability to send multiple reports in the same email. I'll add your name to the feature request.

An important part of a netflow collector is its ability to be configured to send scheduled reports at predefined dates. You can then be left to concentrate on other areas and then take action once a report has been received, or a fault occurs.

Currently the automatic reporting is lacking. When you configure a scheduled report you get an email with the raw data. Sure the graph looks all pretty, but the text underneath looks poor with no colouration. If you want more than one report you get sent multiple emails.

Are there any plans to improve the way in which scheduled reports operate ? Can you not send the output to a well formatted quality PDF which then gets emailed to recipients ? The PDFs could then be printed out and would look better than the raw text in the email. This way you could send multiple reports in one nice concise email.

I also have a question about notifications/email alerts. I have configured the Logalot to send email alerts but I noticed that the subject line includes the IP address of the system. Of course that is great information to know but we have a security policy that states 'no IP addresses will be sent in email'. Is there a way around this. Can this be changed to show the hostname instead? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry if the last post was too basic. However, sometimes it is the most basic items that are overlooked.

What version of Scrutinizer are you running? Do you have a Manage Exporters or a Manage Devices screen? If it's Manage Devices, then you have Scrutinizer v6.x.

If you have v6.x, then to the left of the Device Name and icon columns is a column headed with a red X with checkboxes beneath it. That is the delete box. Checkmark the box to the left of the device you wish to delete, then click on the red X at the top of that column.

If that is not the case, either, then could you send me a screenshot of your Manage Devices/Exporters screen to joanneg@plixer.com?
