Scrutinzer ICON sets

Postby deathnite » Thu Feb 04, 2010 4:39 pm

Hi,

Something ive sorta touched on before, but that was a while ago and probably been forgotten. :P

Anyways thought it may be a good idea for the Scrutinizer community to share their custom modified icon sets.

Ive made to make icons for other netflow appliances like Riverbeds, Packetshapers, ASA's and soon to be BlueCoats.

Sooo... a location where we can upload and publish (after authorization) for the community to share these icon sets. Probably need doco and rules for standardization. I know this is available, just it may need to be broken out.

Thoughts..?

Well,

Its been a while since Ive been on here.. changed jobs.. had another kid..blah blah blah.

But at my new job, Ive been able to recommend this awesome product again and start to get things rolling with carriers, servers and the like.

But was disappointed to see that after all this time that this hasn't progressed. Ive got a whole new network to get onto "single pane of glass", but looks like ive gotta rebuild all those custom icon sets again.

So... putting this out there,., can we possibly get this going again. I am sure that i am not the only one who likes to tweak out the ICON sets for a purpose.
With ALL the products that can provide the flow information I certainly wish to see some "special" ones for the service desk to be able to understand.

Cheers

This is correct. I had all sorts of icons in all the colors I needed for red/green/grey/etc in all the different sizes.

Had made them for APC, Riverbed, packetshapers.. the list was big.

I was removed from my old position (better offer from a competitor) and wasn't able to get all my custom icon sets again.

So it would sorta make sense if the community could contribute to increase the icon set above and beyond the default installation set.

Hello deathnite,

We do not have a specific community place to submit icons. If you are developing your own icons you can send it to us and we can see what we can do for a community based solution.

deathnite,

If you wouldn't mind, send them to mattstj@plixer.com and I will have a look. Very interested to see what you've come up with!

Will do,

I am no graphic artist, but had a few for my own purpose.
My previous list was much larger, but as I mentioned I lost these when I changed roles. (was walked because it was a competitor).

So now ive only got a few that I have made recently.

Maybe you could publish a dropbox for others to upload there sets and start seeing what others have done!!.

Cheers
