Re: Missing Template Columns

Some algorithms require TCP flags. If the export from the device doesn't include TCP flags, it doesn't make since to allow a device to participate.

Re: Palo Alto Firewalls

We added Palo Alto Networks support in Scrutinizer v9. We added reports for Users, Application and a bunch of NAT reports. The reports are pretty cool. http://www.plixer.com/blog/netflow-analyzer/palo-alto-networks-netflow-support/ The folks at Palo Alto did a good job on the NetFlow implementation....

Logalot Now Part of Scrutinizer

Hello Logalot Users, Logalot has seen significant development, bug fixes and updates. Since the release of Scrutinizer v9.0 in Jan 2012, Logalot was discontinued as a stand alone solution and integrated into the core of Scrutinizer. Your Logalot license is now a Scrutinizer license. Please contact P...

Re: TCP performance statistics

Hello,

What field or element in the exported template from the nProbe is used to run reports on:

TCP retries
TCP out of order

We can only report on data if it is exported by the nProbe. I'm sure we can report on it.

Re: Trouble viewing Netflow data from ASA5510

Hello, Did you setup the ASA to export NetFlow correctly? http://media.plixer.com/screencasts/ciscoAsaConfigurationUsingAsdm/ciscoAsaConfigurationUsingAsdm.html I've also posted a video on reporting on NetFlow from the ASA: http://media.plixer.com/screencasts/scrutV7ASA/scrutV7ASA/scrutV7ASA.html I ...

Re: Some questions on Scrutinizer

Hi Ricky, Scrutinizer won't multiply by the sample rate. We've tried this in the past and it does not end up close to the actual utilization. Scrutinizer only displays what it gets. The device should send an interface counter value as sFlow does. This allows us to receive samples and show accurate u...

Re: Problem Accessing Historical Data

Hello, There is a very good reason for this. If the volume of flows from the device is significant and the end system is a low volume traffic producer, the "roll up" process in Scrutinizer may end up dropping all of the data from the end system you are trying to find in the larger intervals. http://...

Re: Report granularity

FlowView displays the raw flows with their native time stamp if you need granularity less than 1 minute.

Yes, with Flow Analytics you can save the raw flows indefinately. Years if you have the disk space. It is configurable.

Re: Reporting functions

Hello Ricky, Regarding your questions: 1. Is it possible to dump the raw data of the database and save to an external storage for later analysis? How? A: YES , there are a couple of ways. You can go to flowview and export via CSV. The best way is to connect to the MySQL database. 2. If there are sev...

FlowView shows the raw data without any manipulation. It is a development tool. I will add your feature request.
