Re: Scrutinizer is not displaying flows

Hello Jamie, Have you configured your routers/switches/firewalls to send flows to Scrutinizer? If so, it usually takes about 10-15 minutes for Scrutinizer to create the Top Interfaces for new devices. Do you have a valid Scrutinizer license key? You can check under Admin -> Settings -> Licensing. Wh...

Re: plixer_flow_collector will not start after upgrading to 12.1

Hello mka,

When we see missing database files on Windows it's usually caused by antivirus software.

I would recommend calling into support and we will help re-create these missing database tables.

You can reach us at 207-324-8805 x4.

Thanks,
Paul

Re: Mobile App

Hello MicP, Currently, the Scrutinizer web interface has been designed so that you can access it from a mobile device. Can you go into detail on what you would like from a mobile app that's not available by browsing to the web interface directly so I can escalate your request to our development team...

Re: "Application Defined" seems not work at my scrutinizer v12.1.0.45146

Hello Frankietse, In v12.1 you need to manually restart the collector service after adding a new defined application. For Windows, select Start -> Run and type "service.msc". Find the plixer_flow_collector service and restart it. For Appliances, login and run "service plixer_flow_collector restart"....

Re: Percent of ceiling / Email Port Utilization Report

Hello Dan, I recommend logging into your device and confirming that the bandwidth statement is set to 1Gb for the interface in question and then re-discover the report in Denika. The other option you have is to override the devices bandwidth statement by manually entering in the maximum port speed p...

Re: Percent of ceiling / Email Port Utilization Report

Hello Dan, If you go under Admin Tools -> Reports -> Select Edit on your Port Utilization report, you will see the field that controls the maximum bandwidth. You can change it to 1Gb from 100Mb. Here are the instructions I have for scheduling reports, you can schedule and email a port group, but not...

Hello inayamike! It's quite impressive that you're running Scrutinizer v5.0.2! To be quite honest, I'm not sure how you even acquired that version anymore! My recommendation is to run our latest version, v12.0.3. Let me know if you need assistance installing the latest version and we would be glad t...

Re: Scrutinizer not using my network.

Hello Terry, I don't fully understand the scope of what you're trying to accomplish, but we can get you pointed in the right direction. To use Scrutinizer you need to: 1) Install Scrutinizer on a machine with a static IP 2) Configure your router, switch, firewall, and/or NetFlow probe to send NetFlo...

Re: nProbe and Scrutinizer on same machoine

Hi dsieber, Yes, you can install nProbe and Scrutinizer on the same machine and send the flows to either 127.0.0.1 or the IP address of the machine they're installed on. I've done this on my work laptop to educate myself on nProbe and to analyze my own traffic. However, if you begin to have performa...

Re: Polling time frequently higher than 5 minutes

Thanks for the update, Chris. Since VM's were moved off of that host, this sounds like less of a CPU or memory issue, so I would recommend to start investigating disk I/O bottlenecks. One way you can accomplish this is to migrate the Denika VM to a dedicated local datastore (off of the NAS) to rule ...

Re: Polling time frequently higher than 5 minutes

Hi Chris, Looking at the last 30 days poll time graph, there was something that changed during week 24 that spiked poll times significantly. It appears that Denika is no longer able to get access to all of the resources it needs. Tweaking the number of reports per poll file may help some, but I don'...

Re: Polling time frequently higher than 5 minutes

Hi Chris, If Denika has been working well with polling ~4,500 reports for awhile, I think we need to investigate what has changed. What was the date that Denika started to have problems? You mentioned that Denika is running on a VM. Are the CPU specs you listed dedicated to Denika or shared with a n...
