Re: Cisco Nexus sampled netflow not working

Hello Peter,

Scrutinizer would show sampled flows if it is seeing them. It's possible the device isn't send them

Could you please post your configurations? I would like to check and see if there is anything you might have missed.

Re: CrossCheck Fault Index

Hi Jackie005, crosscheck monitors different forms of device status in scrutinizer, including includes 3rd party applications if configured. Scrutinizer gives a scores to each device status and alert accordingly. >> what would make our device exceed our configured threshold for Crosscheck when none o...

You should be able to install 11 over the top of 9.

Re: Instance 0 issue

Hi Max, As per our phone conversation. Instance 0 aggregates communication with the device itself or all traffic that can not be associated with a specific interface. Also based on the raw flows, we determined that Scrutinizer was interpreting the data correctly, and a possible fix to the issue, wou...

Re: Scrutinizer doesn't think my interface is metering

Could you please confirm that interfaces are included in the flow record? Here is a "Flow Record" example: flow record my-record description <Monitor name> match ipv4 tos Look for ToS fields. match ipv4 protocol match ipv4 source address match ipv4 destination address match transport source-port mat...

Re: Scrutinizer doesn't think my interface is metering

It sounds to me like, Scrutinizer is not able to associate traffic with any interface so far because most of it looks like communication with the device itself. If the traffic is directly to the router then, that is the problem. I am sure you will see a big difference as soon as you connect the LAN ...

Re: Scrutinizer doesn't think my interface is metering

Do you have the following commands?

Under the flow monitor:
cache timeout active 60

... and under the flow exporter:
template data timeout 60

If not, I would add them and wait for 10 minutes.

Re: Scrutinizer doesn't think my interface is metering

Hello mciecior, Are you sending Flexible NetFlow by any chance? if you are, please make sure the template rate is set to 1 minute. From the status page, under device explorer, please expend the device by clicking on the "+" and then click "Show interfaces". Are you getting a list of interfaces? If s...

Re: Vlan interface names not showing corruptly

Hi John,

That is why Scrutinizer is showing the large number. This is an issue on the SonicWall. I would consult SonicWall support or try upgrading to a more recent OS version.

Thanks

Re: Vlan interface names not showing corruptly

Hi John,

It's very possible that the device is returning large interface indexes when Scrutinizer sends SNMP requests.

Could you please try to replicate to issue using a third party application.

I recommend "getif". It can be found at http://www.plixer.com/Support/free-tools.html

Re: JFlow / Juniper SRX ... ingress/egress

Hi Simon, I would definitely look into other options. If you own Scrutinizer, and would like to further investigate this issue. Please give us a call, and perhaps we can look at a packet capture for you, and verify what exactly Scrutinizer is seeing and how it is handling it. Is this something you m...

Re: JFlow / Juniper SRX ... ingress/egress

Hello Filobeddo, You are seeing both sides on the cisco device probably because you have NetFlow enabled on every interface that's seeing outbound traffic from the interface you are viewing in Scrutinizer. Are all interfaces on this device NetFlow enabled? If you are not seeing both inbound and outb...
