Some questions on Scrutinizer
Hi,
1. Is it possible to set up alert for traffic/throughput threshold?
2. How do we show traffic rate (bit/sec) in reports (e.g. top host report)?
Thanks

Re: Some questions on Scrutinizer
Hello dscouter,
1) Yes, we have a blog that outlines this procedure here: http://www.plixer.com/blog/scrutinizer/ ... hresholds/
2) In Scrutinizer v8.6.1 you can see the traffic rate (bits/s) by hovering your mouse over the right most total column and the tool tip will display the rate of the conversation.
You can also get rates by running a Traffic Reports -> Traffic Volume report.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Some questions on Scrutinizer
Hi Paul,
Another question: we have set the router to send flow in 1/1000 sampling rate. How do we set the Scrutinizer to adjust for this (multiply by 1000) so that the reports show the correct data?
Regards
Ricky

Re: Some questions on Scrutinizer
Hi Ricky,
Scrutinizer won't multiply by the sample rate. We've tried this in the past and it does not end up close to the actual utilization. Scrutinizer only displays what it gets. The device should send an interface counter value as sFlow does. This allows us to receive samples and show accurate utilization.
