Scrutinizer Virtual Appliance Upgrade - For servers with Internet Access

This guide will show you how to upgrade a Scrutinizer Virtual Appliance from version 11.52 to 16.11

*** Note that Scrutinizer upgrades are stepped processes ***

First step will be to perform a yum update. (This step needs to be done twice if coming from 11.03)
Navigate to:
/home/plixer/scrutinizer/files
You will find yumUpdate.sh
This will pull down the latest packages and update CentOS

Next Step will be to upgrade to the next version

You are now finished and up to date
  • If you would like to double check the version. You can cd to /home/plixer/scrutinizer/bin and run ./scrut_util.exe -v (pre 16.7) In 16.7 and above run scrut_util.exe and type version at the SCRUTINIZER> prompt.
  • This along with the web interface can verify what version you are currently on.
  • If the version on the front end is incorrect, try dumping the browsers cache first (ctrl+F5)
