Importing graphs into custom web page.

Post by jm_eklund » Mon Nov 23, 2009 4:25 pm

We have a home grown web page for high level managers to monitor facilities. One of the aspects of this site is WAN utilization. We are currently using MRTG to graph WAN traffic and we are importing those graphs into this site.

I have started to test Denika, but I am having trouble importing any graphs into this custom site. It seems that there are some tokens that get passed that don't allow me to do any importing. Has anyone been able to get around this?

Thanks
Jamie

I'm sure this isn't well documented but you can link to a specific report using the following syntax:
Here is an example on my local install:
http://127.0.0.1/cgi-bin/denika.exe?view=R9083

How to find the report ID
1. Simply click on a the device group
2. Find the report you'd like to link to
3. Hover over the wrench icon - at the same time look in the status bar of your browser and you'll see a URL similar to:
you are only interested in getting the ID from the following section: idFilter=9083

Let me know if this doesn't give you what you need.

Is there a way to get this report without having to enter a username and password (view mode)?

/cgi-bin/denika.exe?dwmy=reportid

Thanks
Jamie

Add the following to the end of the url, replacing USERNAME and PASSWORD with the login credentials:

&logon_username=USERNAME&logon_password=PASSWORD
