WhatsUp Pro 10.00 and Denika Performance Trender error
My WhatsUp Gold tab of Denika is kinda useless now. I would like to get more functionality from it as far as the views. The larger image shows an error (x) the picture is not availible and all the devices below it show error webpage cannot be found. Is there a simple fix for this or do I have some major config issues.

WUP Integration
You mentioned that the WhatsUp tab is useless now? Was the integration once working? What changed?
If you navigate to SOE -> Control Center -> Configuration Editor do you a WhatsUp Professional section listed?
If not, you need to open a command prompt on your Denika server, navigate to \SOE\cgi-bin and run:
denika-util -wu_remote
This will add the WhatsUp section to the Configuration Editor
Next, you need to verify that all the information is correct, specificly the Path, Version, Web Port and IP of the WhatsUp Web Interface
For version, use 10. If you were running WUG v11 you would use 11.
For path, use something similar to: C:\PROGRA~1\Ipswitch\WHATSU~1\HTML\1033\NmConsole. If WhatsUp is located on another machine, you will want to make a share available and use a path similar to: \\SVR-EMPEROR\c$\Program Files\Ipswitch\WhatsUp Professional1\HTML\1033\NmConsole
One last thing, verify your sa password. By default, it is wug_sa
Is WhatsUp located on the same machine as your Denika installation?

Hi Tom,
We have the same problem here.
We are testing WhatsUp Gold 12.3 and Denika 7.0 on the same machine.
First I tried to use "denika-util.exe -wu" command to integrate WUG into Denika, but it didn't work. There was no WhatsUp settings under Configuration Editor even after I run the command.
After that I launched "denika-util.exe -wu_remote". This could create the WhatsUp settings, but only General and Professional. I guess there should be Gold settings as well.
Anyway I changed the settings under Professional, but the WhatsUp tab doesn't work properly. It's trying to call a Navigation.asp file, but there is no such file in WUG directory.
Is there any workaround to fix this issue? Can I create the Gold settings manually?
By the way is WUG 12.3 supported at the moment?
Thanks in advance.
Peter

WhatsUp Gold 12 and Denika 7 Integration
Hi Peter,
Our development team has been busy with Scrutinizer and has not updated some of the verbiage for the integration, but it does work with 12.3 (I just verified)
Here is what you'll need to do.
After running denika-util -wu_remote, jump into the web interface and navigate to your configuration editor. In the WhatsUp -> Professional section you'll need to adjust some of the settings.
1. Empty your "Default Map" (you can choose this later)
2. Make sure you are using the correct DSN (this is "WhatsUp" by default)
3. Use sa DSN name
4. The new sa password for a default WUG 12 installation is: WhatsUp_Gold
5. Fill in the username and password to access the WUG web interface
6. Jump down the the "Path". This should be the path to the "NmConsole" directory. In my case it is: C:\Program Files\Ipswitch\WhatsUp\HTML\NmConsole
7. In the "Version" field, set this to: 11
You can use 11, because WUGv11 and v12 use the same directory structure.
8. Set your WUG web port and IP Address
9. Click "SAVE"
Now navigate to Denika. You should see your "WhatsUp" tab at the top. When clicked on, it will attempt to connect to the DSN. You will see an error if it cannot.
When the connection is made, you will be able to select a default map and may be prompted to enter web interface credentials for WUG.
Once you save your map, you should be all set.
Let me know if you have still have problems.
