Why are my gadgets not showing any new data?

If you find that some of your gadgets are not updating with new information, you may want to check your poll times for each algorithm.

As an example:

The Network Volume gadget functionality is dependent on the Network Volume algorithm.
So if this algorithm is timing out regularly, there is no new data to present, thus no updates on the gadget.

So be sure to check your Flow Analytics Overview gadget and make sure none of the algorithms are timing out.
If they are, you can adjust the threshhold to a higher rate.

Just take note that you only have 300 seconds to work with when adjusting your threshholds, so you may have to steal seconds from one algorithm to allocate to another.

Great post Nate. Also, I'd becareful on including excessive routers/switches in this algorithm as the calculations involved with it are a bit process intensive.

Desktop gadgets disappear when you have UAC turned off, turn it back on to its lowest setting and see if they work then..I tested this and you are correct.

I agree, great post Nate. I would like to point out that you should check the simple things first. Is Flow-Analytics turned on and is it configured correctly.
