Re: Denika thresholds

Hello alfwro, The 'IN' and 'OUT' is referring to the ability to have data from 2 OIDs reporting in one mrtg report in Denika. Typically used in Port Utilization reports to denote Inbound and Outbound traffic. For the Storage Available reports, the standard report template only uses 'IN', so in setti...

Re: Exporter not showing up in Scrutinizer

Hi dchang0, Do you still have Flowalyzer running on the server in Listener mode? If so, can you stop Flowalyzer, then restart the plixer_collector windows service? (You may have to kill the scrut_collector.exe process in Windows Task Manager for the plixer_collector service to stop). Then start the ...

Re: Hardware recommendation

Hi Eric,

What do you mean by 20 Mb/s of syslog data? 20,000,000 syslogs per second, or storing 20 Mb per second of data?

I don't understand exactly what you're asking.

Re: How do we know our application use which protocol.?

Hello Ethan, Google Talk uses TCP port 5222. Are you trying to report on Google Talk in Scrutinizer? Does your router support NBAR and NetFlow v9 Flexible NetFlow? If so, I can send you directions to create a custom NBAR protocol definition for Google Talk, and then configure your router to export N...

Re: Cant resolve dns names

Hi Glenn,

Can you do a test for us and try placing a copy of your dns.conf file in the following 2 directories, then let us know if the dns resolve works?

[homedir]\scrutinizer\cgi-bin
[homedir]\scrutinizer\bin

Thank you,

Re: Mailing a report doesnt give a graph

Hello Koen, We have a utility that you can use to reset the mysql root password. Open a command prompt, navigate to the [homedir]\Scrutinizer\bin directory, and run: scrut_util -reset_mysql_password You will then be prompted to enter a new password and then enter it again for confirmation. - Joanne

Re: Demoing Scrutinizer - Any plans on improving reports ?

In v8.5 you can send reports in pdf format. When you email a report or schedule an email report, there is a checkbox to send in pdf format. Is that what you were looking for?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for asking.

At this time, this is not possible in Scrutinizer, but I have submitted a feature request to our Product Management team for possible addition to a future release.

Re: Real-Time Reporting Incorrectly

There is no configuration options for the Real-time graphing. The standard Denika reports aren't giving you detailed enough data? There is also a free tool available on our support site - STG - Realtime SNMP graphing utility. You need to know the MIB. http://www.plixer.com/support/tools.php - Joanne
